The massive RFID trial in a Tokyo shopping center shows that the needed infrastructure for the Mobile Prosumer is being built. From e-Counseling to RFID-tags@home, where users can download product information based on the RFID tags at home, further nice ideas are described in this Technology Review article (in German).

The author also claims that some approaches are technology-based as there is no usable user interface.
